A Token Legal Opinion is the document that is required by centralized exchanges and wallets to ensure that the token is not a security. This will allow these liquidity providers to add the token to their platforms. Also, this document might be required when founders plan to launch a token crowdfunding campaign through launchpads (IEO) or DEXes (IDO).

When it comes to Token Legal Opinion preparation it's very important to clarify with the exchange which legal providers will be the best for the job. Some exchanges might require the TLO to be prepared by lawyers from the country where the exchange is based. Others might require it from lawyers of the country where the Token company is registered.
